Intermitent power to amps

As the title says, I'm getting intermitent power to the sub & comp amps in my car. This makes the comps + sub suddenly go out for awhile, normally 1 or 2 minutes at a time. The HU stays on and running fine. I redid the ground and it is now very well done. I also checked all the amp input/output connections. And I wired amps REM to constant 12v to rule out the remote on lead. I'm going to check the inline main power fuse before work tomarrow (thinking there may be a loose connection there, fuse holder is hanging atm). Any other possibilities I can quickly check out tomarrow ?

are you sure the amps are not getting power? have you measured the voltage at the positive and negative terminals of the amp when power "seems" to have been lost?

No, I haven't tested with a voltmeter, but it's rather obvious that the amps are shutting down, as the blue lights on the Brutus + the remote bass unit both turn off with the sound.

Well unless you check for voltage at the amp you do not know what they are doing. There still may be 12 volts at the amp and remote, but do to an internal problem it is not comming on. IF there 12 volts there then you do not have to search all over the car to find the problem

well there has to be a loose connection somewhere, whether it be on the battery, maybe the fuse is shot and you can't tell, is the ground nice and tight, with a hoop connector soldered on the end of it? you better not be using a seat bolt or something to ground it, a nice flat area sanded right down to bare metal is what you want, the terminals also could have become desoldered inside the the amp, I see that happen sometimes
