This is what someone had explained to me before. AMD is made for gaming and intel is made for multitasking. And here is the reason. Look at AMD this way, a fat guy but rather in good health. He does a lot of work but just not so fast. Intel is a built guy that is fast but can't move a lot of information as amd but moves really fast. HOpe that made sense.

ROLF are u kidding me haha I got a quad core q6600 2.4 stock overclocked to 3.4 with with ease. intel usally comes with more L2.

& and amd phenom doesent compare in bench marks to a comparible intel quad.
Yea lol i got that same cpu overclock at 3.5 with max orbe air cooler np.

Just go with Intel quady... your be glady.

Lol dude Iv done alot of gaming. On my new system here with my q6600 i ran 2 wow account at the same time with all on high and still got 90+fps on each monitor with 1 8800 @ 675 core clock

EDIT: With no Hikups. 65% Cpu used. End of story

Intel beats the AMD hands down right now.

In both gaming and office apps and such.

yes a few games or apps may run better on amds but majority will be better with intel

I have been researching these two processors and get mixed opinions on which one is better. It seems to be about 50-50.
What are your thoughts on which is better?

The answer depends on what you plan to do.

For Gaming, Intel is better. But best bang for the buck used to go to AMD. But I can get a q6600 now for 200 bucks.

wrong

=price intel wins show me a amd proccessor to compete with that q6600 for that price. oh wait there are none

I actually have a q6600 with an 8800 vid card as well. It smokes just fine on multiplayer first person shooters. which is the only games that really count anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

both bout the same, Intels are nice, I'd say AMD is more gaming since you can tweak them and OC them.

You can overclock Intel chips too. I never do any of that crap. The way I feel is if you went to a store and could get a phenom 90 whatever hundred and a quad core intel for the same price, go with the intel. But as some have said, I have run AMD processors with no issues as well. If you never ever plan on gaming, go with what you can afford.

thats good then. i revoke my previous statement //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
