insulation question

what should i use to insulate my box i am building, they say to use 1"fiberglass insulation, but i can't find any that thin, i can only get 3", or can i use something else to insulate? If i use the 3", would cutting it to approximetly 1" thick be ok?

Not sure I understand what you mean by "insulating" your box; do you mean putting the insulation inside the box for acoustical purposes?

If so, that really isn't needed for a sub box, and there are better things to use for that anyway.

if i dont need any, do i just build the box and put them in there then...no insulation for acoustical purposes. What do any of you'se have, insulation in the box, or no. If so, what do you use?

Who/what is saying to insulate the box? There's polyfill, but that's not necessary, you can just plop the sub in there and call it a day.
