I won't to know the best way to install speakers in my headrest without it lookin jacked up. I have head rest covers with the elastic bottoms the actual headrest.*Also how do I feed and where do I feed the wires through?

Thanks!

Why do you want speakers in the headrest? That's asking for problems, electrical and dry cloth don't make good combinations. It's not going to sound good either, just stick to the doors.

I would use sound deadening or something of that fashion to avoid of the issues you mentioned. People put tweeters and small speakers in headrests all the time including monitors.

I'm looking for help, not for questions on why I want it or critism.

Well it would be the same as installing tvs cut out a hole that speaker size use zip ties to hold the speakers in , but the hole will have to be just right to the size of the speaker so it will look clean ( flush ) , cut the cloth so you can fold the flaps in and have space to cut the zip ties and push them under with some thing while not having the speaker hang loosely glwyb

If you've got some serious woodworking and upholstery skills, why not make a new headrest? It would be like a mini enclosure with mounts and everything. Plus you could pad it in some memory foam so it feels nice.

I don't really know if that would work great, just an idea I had come across my head.

you need to feed wire down through the back of the seat - you get to it with the same path a headrest monitor would take. basically a hole and grommet next to the headrest posts. it will come out at the bottom of the seat cover, then you will want to zip tie the speaker wire to OEM wire and mounts to keep it free of the track. lastly, zip tie to OEM wire harnesses that go to the floor, then hide under carpet (tying to OEM wire when possible).

you don't want to hear the rear wave in the front seat, so a small enclosure is recommended. you could use PVC caps that are wrapped in deadener then use an adapter to flange for a flush appearance. lastly, be sure to high-pass the speaker based on the enclosure/response combination (probably greater than 300Hz)

Dude, u might have to do a video for this. LOL. I'll still try to follow though.

We did tweets in mazda miatas for a while kinda hard to get loud in a convertible otherwise. But in a sedan or coupe it seems foolish
What's so foolish about it? Man I got DC Audio 4XL 15s blowin into the cab, not the trunk. So yeah, I need all the mids and highs I can get. Why do people act like this idea is so outlandish? I wouldn't have expected to get that reaction on this forum.
