Installing head unit help

I'm working on my first install but I'm not really sure what to do. I've searched and read many guides, but it is still unclear to me. I already know how to take the existing unit out and I have a wiring harness and dash kit.

I'm just not sure on a few things related to the wiring. First; how do I use the harness? Obviously one side goes in to the stock plug, but the other side (with the open wires) goes where? Am I supposed to solder all of the wires to the other wires in the harness thing that plugs in to the head unit? Not sure if that was clear...In other words do I just match all of the wires from the head unit's wiring to my wiring harness then just plug in the harness?

Secondly, if i'm not using my front stage, do I need to disable the amp in my head unit somehow? I was under the impression that I just not hook up my front speakers, but iv'e read thins about not connecting anything to the speaker leads that are not connected to speakers (from my manual).

Hopefully someone can decipher what i'm trying to convey...it was a bit hard to describe with my limited knowledge of this stuff.

Yes, you just connect the harness to the head unit by matching all the wire. You can either crimp them together or solder. As for your last question, I don't know the answer.

u can also use wire nuts....everything is color coded, you cant mess up

So do I need to worry about my head unit's amplifier at all?
