Installing an LOC

I have installed an LOC to run my sub amp. Everything sounds cool, but after I turn the volume up past 1/2 on the factory radio, the bass ceases to increase. Only the treble goes up. The car has a factory amplifier that runs the interior speakers. The LOC is spliced on the speaker output wires .

My question is: Would running the LOC on the factory amplifier input wires eliminate this problem or be better overall?

Thanks

This is really going to depend on what year vehicle you have.

In newer vehicles, some of them do have a built in volume based equalizer, where as the volume increases the bass output decreases (or ceases to increase)

So, if you have a newer vehicle, the only fix to the problem would be an expensive LOC like the JL Cleansweep, or a new headunit.

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo. The LOC is made by Tsunami. I bought it at Circuit City. It does have level adjustments and they are all the way up.
