installing alt.

i got my alt from alterstart. anyway in the manual it says just run a new wire from the alt to the bat. yeah so im going that in 1/0

but then it says DONT re attach the old stock wiring that does from the alt. to the fusebox or battery.

just wanted to make sure thats right. because when i did the big three on my stock alt. i was told to leave the stock wiring in its place.

just leave stock wiring in their, current will take the least resistive path to wherever it is going it will be fine.

right i know that. however that wire is crappy and has the potention to F'up my alt if say it some how shorts or what not.

do you guys think that it will affect anything if its not attached to the alt?

or should i just connect it to the batt. + incase its running anything else?
