im only runnin like a 300 watt mtx amp now so it should help some shouldnt it i used to have a 1000 watt crunch amp to the alphasoniks but the amp shorted out on me

If you run a 1 ohm load to an amp that isn't 1 ohm stable it could kill your amp.
