Need more info here. What voicecoils do the type R's have?

If you have the right VC's they'll wire down to a 1ohm load which will give you the best results for that amp you have.

Actually no it doesn't seem to be. Specs are here. You could try it and with imp rise it may be okay but it may not.

Your only choices are 1 ohm or 4 ohms if you use both subs. You'd be wasting your time at 4 ohms. If you just wanted to use one sub you could wire it to 2 ohms. To get the most out of your subs you need a different amp. You need at least 1000 watts anyway for two R's and that amp is only rated at 500.

Yeah, I'd look for something 1ohm stable if you want to run both.

Why do you want more subs? More subs = more power needed and electrical upgrades. $$$$

For just the 2 Type R's something like an Audioque 1200 for $250 would work well.

I don't know much about them but they're 500 watts rms as well. Are yours dual 2 or dual 4 ohms?
