Sorry I posted this in the head unit section but I really dont think it was the best place to post it. I am about to go try and fix it now so I wanted to try and get some help before I go out there. Thanks in advance!

Well I did my first install ever today

I installed the JVC KD HDR1 into my 94 honda accord and everything seemed fine until I tried the radio....all static

I just doubled checked to make sure the antenna plug was in good and it was.

The radio never worked perfectly but I could get most stations on my old HU

Any suggestions?

I wired the amp remote turn on wire and the power antenna to the same wire could this mess anything up?

I also dont have the amp remote wire plugged in to an amp (Not going to be installing this for another week or so) yet but I figured might as well do it while I was soldering and I plugged in the RCAs to my head unit as well.

your radio might have multiple blue wires (With different tracers)

Some radios come with specific power antenna wires as well as a remote for amp turn on.

I would double check the wiring.

I read the chart, doubled checked it before I soldered each wire and am positive there is only one remote lead. And the antenna goes up and down fine so there should not be a problem with that splice right?

Dumb response, but did you plug in the big black antenna wire? I had Tweeter do my first install and they forgot to plug in my **** antenna.
Yep I double checked it an unplugged it and re plugged it back in like 5 times

have you tried to disconnect the remote wire to see if it still does it? If that fixes the problem if I remember right from way way back in the days you could then run your remote wire to something in your car fuse box that is hooked up for something that is switched so it only works when the vehicle is turned on. I am still a rook though so I may be talking out of my arse and if I am sorry if I have offended anyone

Ok I fixed it! woo hoo

I did some wire rearranging in the back. I think it was the remote wire was touching the antenna wire and that was messing it up. (Could have been another set of wires touching but im pretty sure thats what it was)

I just need to secure the remote wire so it does not move and touch the antenna wire again it ill be set! Thanks for all ur suggestions
