Installed New Distribution with voltage display and LEDS, but it wont turn off

i beleive after it's all wired it's led display will shut off on it's own, kinda like the display on a cap. they turn off when nothings happening, but as soon as it senses a voltage drop or gain it'll light up

. leds don't use much of any power so i doubt it'll drain your battery

the only way to get the lights to turn off, is if I unhook the little ground cable attached to it. And it doesnt read the voltage at all, even when it is grounded. The display just blinks "A" or "V".

And the lights were driving me nuts so I unhooked the ground cable.
