installation

gettin the old one out is no problem...what i was more worried about was doin all the wiring but i guess its color coded and preety obvios conectors right?

what about amps? what would u say is the hardest part of conecting an amp?

peace

well u can buy a harness for your h/u....so its easy.....hardest part of the amp is running the power wire from the batt to your trunk or where ever your amp is at....and the wiring if you dont know what your doing....setting the gain is pretty easy.....when u get to these parts feel free to ask and we'd be more than happy to help

Depends on how much i had to drink before I started //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif usually the part I hate the most is putting components in the doors. especially in newer cars with power windows and crap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif But yeah man like Goddyd4me said it's pretty simple to install a h/u just get yourself a wiring harness for your car. And maybe an installation kit and from there on it's easy as reading this post. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats exactly what I was gonna say. Installing speakers in the doors is a ***** when you are building your own little custom housing for them.

The biggest problem i've found with installation is the fact that i'm never happy once i'm done. I've done four different installs my truck since i bought it in august of 01, and once I get done with a project and get it exactly to my liking, i find something i can afford to upgrade or think up a new box design and change it all around. This hobby becomes an addiction after a while //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The hardest part of installation for me is all the math it takes to get a box (especially vented ones!) just right. Math is not my strong suite. I never thought when i was taking algebra, geometry and trig that i'd ever use that stuff, but it comes in very handy when you're desingning and building boxes. It's a lot of fun tho, and with a little practice and a lot of patience, you can have a professional looking/sounding box and not hurt your wallet so bad in the process. Remember: Half the fun is doing it yourself!

great... its really encouraging to read this... but i think ill mess up my friends ride before i try doin somethin to mine... lol! like practice before the big game uh?

peace
