Installation Help and tips

Hi Everybody...

Help.

I've got a Pioneer 600w 4 Channel Amplifier

A 1200w Pioneer 2 Channel Amplifier

Two Ten Inch Subs

Two 400w pioneer 6x9's

And Two No Brander 4 Inch Speakers

I've Currently got it set up like this...

The two no brander speakers are running straight from the head unit

I've only got one Line-out coming from my head unit so that is connected to my 1200w amp which is running the subs, the 1200w sub also has a line-out and a line in so I've connected the other amp (600w) to the line-out of the other sub (1200w), this is running my 6x9's,

My Questions

1.Is it safe to run both amps off one power source (car battery)

2.Because one of my amps is running from the other with the line-out is that amp even doing anything really??

3. is there a better way to set up my sound system

4.should i get a better head unit with more line-outs.

Would appreciate any help you guys can give me

Cheers

Atm Battery seems to be fine, I can run both amps without any fading of headlight or electrics in car.

Is it the best way to run everything like should i have the 6x9s running off bigger amp or no .. When you say Y the RCA do you mean split it into two ???

Yes, spliting the rca's into two will just split the signal. Since your 600 watt amp is a 4 channel, why not just use that to power all four fronts, that'd probably be a better way to run that amp. You'd have way more power to the rear speakers than the fronts and the rears typically are just for fill but it's up to you and how you want to listen to them. Either way would work, I'd run all the fronts off it though.

After reading OP's post prior to this one I want to iterate that it's an adapter. He doesn't mean to literally split your RCA's.

True, you'll need to purchase two y cables (one female to two males) to do this. But you'll have to remember that after it's Y'd out that each new set of RCA's will not be hooked up as colored, instead of red/blue, you'll have a red/red and a blue/blue set of RCA's so you'll have to run them accordingly.
