Inserting wire into an amp

hes got it!! just get a spade, they are like $.89 for one of them, not to mention how much cleaner the install will look, rather than a huge wire shoved under a screw... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
ya im gonna do that because my ground and power wire come out when i just put the wire in there and screw down.. no matter how hard i tighten the screw.

I didn't realize this isn't a set screw type wire connection.

I'd use a crimp terminal of some kind too, but more for neatness than quality of the connection.

I would think making the bare wire work by trimming it down a little is probably a better connection electrically than using a terminal of some kind (look at the cross section of the smallest section of that terminal if you want to get technical).

But using bare wire on those types of connections leaves a lot more possibility of a stray strand coming in contact with something it shouldn't. That and it looks ghetto.
