****ing seat belts

you know when you put on your seat belt and go to move but it wont let you? so you have to move back and forth like a 'tard to disengage it or whatever... my passenger seat belt does this, and its very annoying for the passenger and for me when i have to hear them complain about it.

so , how hard is it to fix or replace it?

they are only supposed to lock up if they are pulled on too hard/ too fast, such as in an accident, your body flies forward causing them to lock up so you dont smash against the dash resulting in serious injury, instead you end up with a broken collar bone

try not to tug on it too hard and pull too quick

don't wear your seat belt.

i don't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

the only time i do is i put it on right before i get onto a military base, as soon as i get in i take it right off.

also when i have passengers in the car, only because i don't hear the seat belt beeping anymore and they do. so i do it to be generous.

so you guys are telling me youve never sat in a car that had this issue? i know of a couple cars that do this.

its not like people lunge forward in the seat like a ****ing maniac , just normal movements and they still lock up from time to time.

the lock-up feature for that belt is bad. some work off of g-force and others are controlled by the speed at whitch they move and some (mostly newer hi-end cars) are controlled by the abs system.

for yours, you would just have to get a new belt assembly and replace it.

how much of a PITA is that?

I hate the belts in my 2001 Mitsu Spyder.

They not only lock up anytime they feel like, they dont stop pulling when fastened like the Ford's I used to drive (so you could find a comfortable spot and it would just sit there), and because its a convertible the mounting points are below shoulder level so the belt is always riding up on the neck.
