hey i have infinity kapas not the newest version but the ones below it... so i have them hooked up to a sony xplod head unit right nd when i put the volume louad they get distorted nd sh1t! if i hook them up to an amp will this get rid of the distortion?? and what about bass blockers do thoze work?

are these speakers? And yes you need an amp. How loud did you turn your headunit up? Could be blown speakers also
