are infinity subs known to be over rated?

my installer was positive that these:

wouldnt handle the stated RMS (300w) so he wired em so that they are only getting 200 watts.

im kind of mad because i spend a little more money on an amp that would deliver 300 watts to each of em but to find out that they arent even getting it annoys me a bit.

also, the subs barely move when the bass hits, i dont know if thats because they are new and stiff (some one said something about break in) or because they are only getting 200w

so.. should i attemp to re wire the subs later so that they are getting the power they say they can handle or play it safe and only give em 200 watts.

Infinity underrates the products they make if anything

With only 200 watts you arent going to see much movement from them

i have the some ones and im giving each 320. But most of the time u wouldnt be giving them that much anyhow.... anyways they take it without a porblem and sound really good for the price.

your installer is sharp as a marble,they will easily take 300 or 400 for that matter
