Infinity vs Polk vs JBL vs CDT

Im looking at 4 - 6.5" Component sets. Money is not even a consideration. But which would you recommend between these:

Infinity Perfect 6.1

JBL GTi C608GTi

Polk db6500

Cdt ???

I listen to mainly rock oriented stuff and loud hardcore shizzle. And ive heard that The infinitys are kinda weak on the low end. But im looking for best performance overall. Something that is gonna be able to take the punishment for a few years because im throwin down some hardcore cash here. I dont know the newest/best CDT 6.5 components but i hear alot of people talkin bout cdt quality.

Any tips or personal experiences with any of these would be very helpful. Or if i missed a good set of 6.5 components please tell me. Basically all of these fall in the RMS of 100 - 150.

What kind of amp do you also recommend that will be able to fuel these at rms @ 4ohms. Or is 4 ohm really worth it. Should i just go 2ohm? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have been really happy with my JL 300/2. It is a bit pricey, but it drives my 5.25s to the point where it is uncomfortably loud and I have yet to hear any clipping or noticable distortion. It puts out 150wRMS per channel. I am a diamond audio fan.... you may want to look into the Diamond s600a's.

1.CDT has so many variations of compo's, they are very very nice

1. INF KAPPA compo's oh man, 1" cmmd tweeter, over sized midbass, xcellent xover, the response are wonderful, but the midbass dosen't give you that hermonic bass, but hell it's a compo.

2. JBL GTi, I had a set of this, they are hot

3.Polk has a new db line, sounds real good, the momo's are supposed to be their top line (honestly their sold at circuit city, so I don't mess with retail audio stores)

however my choice INF KAPPA's

I would recomend either Boston Pros or CDT-HD62s.

After those two I would say Infinity Kappas and Perfects.

JBL would be last out of these. Tweeter is WAAAY harsh and loud to my ears (even at -3dB on the crossovers)

I haven't heard the Polks in a car, so I can't comment on those.

I run CDT-HD62s in my car if that matters.

I can get more in depth if you want, just ask.

I have the Polk DB6500's in the front, DB650's in the rear doors of my Suburban, powered with a JL 300/4. I listen to the same stuff you do. They get loud enough to hurt. I used to have them run with a JL 450/4, but returned the amp for the 300/4 because I didn't need/couldn't use all the headroom the 150+ watts the 450/4 put out. It got louder than my sub! (JL12W7) I had a 500/1 for my sub - returned that and got the 1000/1. Now with the 300/4 on the speakers and the 1000/1 on the sub, it's nice and balanced and loud. The 300/4 actually puts out between 90-97 watts, it's a good amp.

WOW Thanks alot guys. i didnt expect this much help. This is a very good Forum. Ive Decided on the Infinity Kappa's 60.5s gonna be powered by a RF Power 351s 2 Channel. Tell me if you think this is a good idea. And im also lookin to get a 150W 10" Sub. I was checking out the RF Punch Stage 1 150w. Anythign you know of better, that is 150W?

Thanks AGain
