Infinity Reference speakers..opinions....

Im going to be upgrading the speakers in the Impala and I have my eye on the Infinity reference series. Specifically the 6.5" 6022si for the front doors and the 6x9" 9623i for the rear deck. I really like them because they are 2-ohm and thats what my factory speakers are so I will be able to still get the most out of the factory amp until I replace it with a 4 channel.

So what are your opinions of the speakers? I remember hearing something about Infinitys being real harsh or something...

And the 4 channel amp that I will be getting is the Soundstream PCA4.400. At 2 ohm the amp does 100WRMS. Do you thing the 6.5s will be able to take it?

They'll image fairly well, but the highs are going to likely be a bit harsh and midbass weak.

If you want them, CarDomain is sweeping them out cheap.

I noticed that they were really cheap there when I was looking there also. The 6x9s have a pic of a different speaker. Its prolly the same 3-way as ive seen on crutchfield, etc right?

Yeah, they probably just have the wrong pic listed. Same model.

Oh well..i'll just get them another time. They're not #1 on my list anyways.

They have nice sound quality but lack in midbass, lack!

But they are good speakers especially for the price, they go soo cheap online

cardomain's customer service is a whole lot better than sonixelectionics though.
