Infinity Perfects vs Image Dynamics IDQ12

I am about to buy 2 of either of these subs and I can't figure out which one is better. It seems more people have the infinity perfects, but a lot of people say the Image Dynamics IDQs are better. The prices are about the same, but the ID are 2 ohmn instead of the perfects 4 ohmn, which means I can give them more power with the same amp (right?).

So i would like yall's opinion on which ones I should get. Thank you.

I cant say enough about the IDQ, pretty much up to you on this one. Both very good drivers. Go with whatever ones cheaper....

I forgot to mention that I am going for mostly sq. I listen to mostly rock so I need a sub that can keep up with it.

It really dosn't matter which one ur gonna go with hear because you will most definately happy with either one. So you've got a good prolblem!

Not to be a ****, but that isn't a good deal, those subs new are only like 90-100...I would say go with the IDQ's, but the perfects are still very nice subs.

I agree with the majority on the IDQ.

What size box and how much power will you be sending them ?

I think I am going to go with the IDQs. I haven't bought a box yet because I am trying to decide to go ported or sealed. I am going to buy a JBL 600.1 amp so I will be giving them around 300 watts each. Is that enough? Thanks.

300 would work perfectly fine sealed or ported. I ran some sealed and really sounded nice, too nice for me though i didn't like how linear they were haha, much preferred my elemental designs O series driver

They have less low end, flatter response, can play higher, use smaller boxes, in some cases handle more power, bass has a little different sound to it, it is very hard to describe if you ask me. Search around for it, theres a huge thread on it somewhere.

I love Image Dynamics and I'll give you my honest opinion. Get the ID 12 V3 not the Q's, go sealed 1.32 per chamber. Call ID chances are they will tell you the same, the reason being the ID 12 V3 has 17mm xmax vs the 13mm xmax of the IDQ. ID will tell you they sound very much the same except the 12 V3 can get a little lower. Also the ID 12 V3's are in general cheaper then the Q's.

you can use them in smaller boxes and they have been around a long time so 'proven' product i suppose
