if you built a box to spec than you don't need to use an insert. the only real use for them is if you have to use a box that is below spec. it helps the sub work in a smaller enclosure. but like i said, if you have a good box you don't need any inserts.

According to the Manual. If its in a 1.75 ported box, they advice to use the LOW insert.

I just read through a Car Audio Magazine(on line). They did an article on the Sub and the person advice to put it in a 1.75 @32hz with the LOW insert.. Thats what I built!
