Infinity damping factor?

i mostly understand what damping factor means (wish i did when i bought my first amp)

anyway one of the amps i was looking at to get is the Infinity 7541A but its rated damping factor is 6.315 @4omhs... i thought most decent amps have 200+ (at least 100) - so is that really low or rated in a different way?

DF is one of the most highly overlooked-at specs out there, probably up there with S/N ratio.

Don't worry about it.

a DF of 6 @ 4ohm is a bit low. that would be 3 @ 2ohm

after a quick glance at the amp, i am somewhat suprised at such a low number from the style of amp. are you sure you are not reading the ratings from a class D subwoofer amp?
