Infiniti Qx4 (4) 15's Wall Re-Do. (Im bored log)

I dont have the experience to give you a tech answer, but I was told NO by alot of knowledgeable members as long as I kept the corners rounded and such, port area is port area

Looks good man, but you really gotta do something about your alternator //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

My alt is factory 110... if I thought an aftermarket unit would be SOMEWHAT reliable, Id grab a 250 and go bigtime. But I dont dip below 12 volt flat with my amps and settings now, so Im kinda happy

My a/c also stopped working, when I get it checked out, if it turns out the compressor went bad, Ill be puting an alt in its place and grabbing 4 HDC3's and throwing them in the same box with another 4000xd

what did you finally use to run those mids and tweets?? u go with xovers from the comp set or what??

I am looking to do an install with 6" selenium mids and the st250 tweets i think it is

All Eq'd by the headunit. Each 6.5" RSD mid is seeing 100rms from the Kicker amp, and I ended up swapping out the St350's for some Dayton 4" fullranges and there getting powerred by a 2 chanel getting 50ish a piece

My deck allows me to set crossover points for each rca preout, octave slopes, gains etc. Very amazing deck.

Subs are crossed @ 63

Mids are crossed @ 80-4500

Daytons crossed @ 2500 +

Gets stupid loud, and sounds great

how did those seleniums do or did you never run them?? compared to the daytons whats the difference more fuller sound on the midranges?

I hated them, my friend liked them. But I hated the sound they produced on axis, just to much pitch and over powerring no matter what I did. Off axis they were decent, but still didnt sound good to me.

So I grabbed those fullranges and put them on axis crossed pretty high ( I tried them crossed @ 100hz to and they take it and play great) but since I already had that range coverred nicely, I crossed them high and gave them twice rated power and they sound WONDERFUL

I dont recomend pro audio tweets

I gotcha

I am looking for a very cheap boat audio install 4 mids and 2 or 4 tweets possibly 6 mids and 4 tweets or 6. Just depends on how much I need. Prob will just go with 4 mids and 4 tweets should be plenty in the boat. Its a flats boat so gonna run a cheap setup incase it gets runied from water and moisture. gonna run cheap audiopipe 20 dollar xovers 500-4500hz for the mid and 2500-20k for the tweet should work and run a zx650.4 so 120rms for the mid and tweet so roughly 60rms to each. should be loud 500 watts on 4 mids and 4 tweets specially selenium speakers

sorry the xover i was talking about is

midrange 500-3.5hz

tweeter-4.5-20khz so that should be perfect for selenium mids and tweets in a boat install want to hear the music over the engine.
