Got a decent bit done today, rushed home no lolligaggin and prayed the weather would hold up, it started raining a few times and I had to bring everything inside, but it always blew over, ran out of light before I could get done though.
I started out by throwing 3 layers of chop mat on the angled wall and back wall joints, I felt those were my weakest as I couldnt screw/clamp them amazingly well during assembly. Also made a few braces out of 1 1/4" cedar, just to keep all the walls in check.
I know it aint pretty with the dripping, but Ill scrape it off when its dry, its the inside anyways who cares.
(I did this brace on both sides of the box, forgot to snap a pic of the other I guess )
I then realized I was not going to be able to fit the front baffle in with the port attached to it like I wanted to, so I broke the baffle into 2 pieces, so it could all be assembled and glassed in the garage
Decent circles for a broken jigsaw
Test fit in the car, not glued or screwed
SO then I ran outta light, I just finished glassing the baffle pieces though.
Tomorrow when I get of work I will smooth out the inside of the box with some 30 grit, attach the front baffles, and then glass the entire box, then smooth again and go over it with bondo (atleast the part youll see behind the port)
If i have time for beauty panels Ill make those to. I still dont know if Im simply gonna texture paint this entire box, or carpet it and just texture the paint the port
Time to watch the hockey game
