hi i'm looking for one 12 to put in my trunk.

any good sub recomendations?

i was thinking of something along the lines or re xxx 12

but i'm wondering is 1600 if overkill or not.

mostly rap rock tech and country.

what would be better sealed or ported for my trunk.

thats a really nice car, i'd go with a pioneer premiere SPL5000, and matching amplifier, that'll be more than enough, in a ported box to 30 hz.

i'd love to see a 5000SPL. I've never heard anyone on any board share any experiences with them, though. Theyre pretty expensive at a $900 MSRP.

IMO, go with a single ported XXX, rl-P, avalanche, brahma.

yesh it's a coupe. 6spd. 5000spl if pretty crazy on specs and it looks like it's only a comp sub. it'll probably rattle my back half off. and in teh area that i live if a cop can hear my system from 100 feet away i get a ticket.

can a xxx take 1600 in a sealed box?
