in-dash help again

does anyone kno how to by-pass the e-brake wire on the concept in-dash dvd players? (IDM-777). It won't display ANYTHING except the radio station screen or any menu screens. won't even display what cd is in or anything without the e-brake engaged!! can someone be SO kind as to help me out? THANK YOU THANK YOU!

well i just decided to ground the wire to the chassis and voila i have picture without the e-brake engaged. but the unit won't play dvds, and i can hear the laser moving inside and loud clicking. do you guys think i should have a shop look at it? i didn't try playing dvds when i had the wire grounded to the e-brake. thanks guys.
