well, imo, there are 2 things about the the illegals. 1.they are willing to do jobs that no one else would want for below minimun wage, and 2. they are a deplete to the economy, taxes and all that stuff. I'm hispanic, but not mexican. the point im trying to make is that i understand where you guys are coming from, and the differences between a federal law and a state law about this situation is that the state law in arizona is just enforcing the federal law of the deportation of illegals. what gets me very annoyed as a hispanic(El salvadorian decent, which is located in central america) is that these ****s that are here are representing mexico........my question is "why the hell are you representing mexico going around 'viva mexico'(long live mexico), instead of your own country(U.S.A)". if mexicans just have the USA and Mex flag instead, that would be a different story. its like why the illegals are making it hard for the illegals that are trying to make things right with their citizen status? especially them dam drug cartels that is making everyone around the border going ape shit. and fyi, im not a racist, still love my ppl, but believe in what i believe. and if anyone takes this very offensive, dont, just face the facts that the illegals are a deplete in the economy. but would appreciate it by not calling them wetback, beaners and shit like that. they are still hard working ppl imo, but if they want to work here, at least get a visa, at the least. if you guys check your history, everyone was once an illegal, except the native americans. IF anyone just paid attention to history class. but i got to say, thank god i live in a country like the United States, and would never, but never, would live in my own national country of where my parents are from(they are US residents, meaning they are trying to get their shit together to become citizens. they are my examples of aliens that are doing it the right way.)

Many of your points have already been addressed here if you read the thread.

For example, its a fallacy that illegals are willing to do jobs Americans wont. Their ability to work for less money and still receive the same take-home pay due to not paying taxes/soc security means they can drive wages down in a job field artificially, until the job becomes not economically viable for legal tax-paying workers.

Earlier in the thread someone referred to field worker 'shit jobs'. They are only seen as shit jobs because they pay so low. If farmers paid $25 an hour plus medical, plus benefits, plus profit sharing... people would look past working in the dirt and there'd be waiting lists to become one. Somewhere between that extreme, and the one where legal residents expecting at least legal minimum wage for the job are expecting too much, is where it would be if the illegals were removed. Yes, the price of certain produce would go up somewhat (not significantly imo), but think about it... an entire job field opened back up for American people to work in, with wages established with a supply and demand system that means the wages will be competitive with other job fields in its range. No, not many people would aspire to working in fields as their ideal job, but not many people aspire to be mechanics or walmart managers or truck drivers, but legal tax-paying citizens do those jobs every day to earn a living a build careers. Just because the job fields we'd be opening back up to American workers isn't at the top of the wages food-chain doesn't mean they would help the economy as a whole, and the workers in those fields individually. Otherwise for you nay sayers, come up with a way none of us have to ever be mechanics either, or DMV clerks, or gas station managers, or any other job we didn't grow up hoping to be some day.

At this point, most of what I said here wasnt aimed at you carlos, take no offense. I started rambling. lol I appreciate your perspective on this topic.

People seem to forget that the illegals being here created a lot more jobs. And not all the manual labor jobs are being taken by illegals, a lot of people just assume that when they see Hispanics hanging outside home depot they are illegal but a lot of time they're just honest people trying to make a living. At the end of the day it is what it is. As I've stated before my issue isn't about closing the borders, it's about doing something about the ones who are already here. You can't just go deporting people away separating them from their kids and family. The government needs to find a way to solve that issue.

Yes, you can just deport them. Its not our fault they entered the country illegally. If they want to take their child (children), we can send them too. Our government doesnt "need" to find a solution to the problem the illegals put in our laps by ignoring our laws. Does our government "need" to find a way to not send parents to jail when they break the law, there by separating them from their children? No? Only illegal immigrants get that consideration right?

Illegal immigrant supporters keep saying people need to stop making excuses, when do illegals need to stop making excuses why we owe them shelter, income, a society, and security from prosecution for their crimes? So far as Im concerned, we are doing them a favor not simply throwing them in jail, and THEN deporting them after their sentence is up. If it were up to me, that would be mandatory for a second offense however.

As for creating jobs, its economically impossible that they created more jobs than they take when they enter the country.

Illegals come here for many reasons. Growing up in America we have soooooo many rights and things we take for granted. Can't just put illegals all in one category without understanding the circumstances they came here. I know some people who have come here illegally because of the gangs where they come from are crazy. Maybe you need to read up on how crazy those MS people are. Sometimes people don't have time to wait and take their time getting here legally because they fear for their lives. You act as if they're all just coming here for fun or something. Each individual has different circumstances and you should consider that before you pass judgment on them coming here. And it's easy for you to type on a computer and just say they should just take them from their children but there's no way in the world you would have the heart to take a mother from her child. What would you do if you are a child at home and your mother leaves one day and never comes back? You don't know anyone in the entire country you're in. This is the reality some of them face. And that's the issue that needs to be addressed because even if you close the borders they're still going to come in. A lot come in by bribing patrol agents, and then Americans are smuggling them in. So closing the border won't really solve much.

i actually lol a little bit on the first sentece you wrote. you made a valid point on your point of view. and about earlier in the thread, shit, i was half asleep and just read the OP's opinion, if he knew how to spell first to even make an arguement, and just skim through everyone's replies. i didnt read everyone's post but i just posted my point of view about this situation. and i definitely do not take this offensive, its just a debate we all having. i understand everyone's opinion on this thread. some ppl make a valid point, some ppl make an ignorant statement. but thanks for clarifying that what i said was already been posted. lol ill check it out in a bit. and about the new law of arizona, well.......i aint gonna past by that state if they profiling every minorities. lol. but what the governor about what she feels about illegals is just plain ignorant. can you possibly think that it illegals are dangerous to the community(as in criminal wise ppl, not stating about the economy cuz i know THEY ALL ARE.lol)

Nobody cares about the circumstance of a murderer, or a simple thief. They did the crime and have to pay the consequences. illegals come here and are breaking our laws. They cost us money and ruin our economy. We have laws on the books on how to become legal. I have no sympathy for a bunch of people who break the law and then get upset when they get caught. You shouldn't either and you have provided no sound logic on why anyone else should. Your argument is self defeating. If you have compassion for these people you should want to ensure that more people come here legally rather than sneak in illegally and hope they don't get caught. The problem is, you know the truth of the matter. If they have to start paying taxes, they won't come here anymore because it will no longer be profitable for anyone.

You do not have compassion for these people. If you did, you would say "we need to reform the process of becoming a United States Citizen". Instead you say "we should grant amnesty to these lawbreakers". That's not compassion. That's contempt. It's contempt for all of the immigrants that take the time to come here legally. It's contempt for all of the people who pay their taxes. It's contempt for everyone who tries to do what is right and follow the law.
