Imaging problems

Just installed my new components and amp. I am having some imaging problems though. They sound great, but the left side (closest to me) is much more distinct and overpowers the other side. I used to have an old Alpine headunit that let me adjust for how far the passenger side speakers are away and it would delay the signal enough to compensate. This way the sound waves get to me at the same time.

Anyway, I looked through my user manual and it doesn't look like my Pioneer P4800MP has this feature.

What would be the best thing for me to do? The obvious thing is to buy a new headunit with the feature, but surely there is another way to go about it? What would be the most practical way to fix this?

Thanks guys. I got stuck with this HU since it came with my car, and it has pissed me off to no end. I am using a 4 channel amp bridged to run my front speakers so I have gain control over R and L.

I will adjust it a bit today.

When you get the soundstage just right for the driver side, does it sound like *** on the passenger side?

Just wondering. I do carry passengers quite often since I carpool and I am very alturistic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
