Poorly worded question. It all depends on 1) what you consider "loud" and 2) which line and size of ID's you are talking about.

id's will get louder than idq. the idq's are smoother sounding though

Ok, I did have my decision dead set on the IDMAX 12 v.3 D4 but now I hear that the IDQ is smoother. I dont listen to music with a huge amount of bass, mostly I listen to alot of Metallica and the like. I want a sub that will keep up with the drums and really hit hard and quick with them. But also when guys pull up in their lil ricers I want to show them up to. IS the IDMAX pretty smooth I heard that the new v.3 is comparable to the IDQ but can get quite a bit louder.

How loud while still maintaining crisp bass can a IDMAX 12 v.3 D4 get in a 1.52 Sealed enclosure being powered by a PG Tantrum 1200.1 amp or something similar? Thanks.

port it if you have the room, i had mine in a 1.25 cf sealed and i put them in 2cf tuned to 30 and they get mad loud, only seeing about 800 rms a piece
