I am interested in getting 1 12" IDMAX or 2 12"Idq or 1 12" Memphis Mojo. Im looking for good sound quality. I mainly listen to rap and rock. I will be getting the Arc Audio ks 1000.1 for my amp. I also need help deciding my box if I should port it or seal it? also how big of a box. Im putting it in a Chevy Tahoe so size does not matter.

id grab two c3s they sound great and dont need a real big box. 2cubes sealed 3.5 ported

I would have normally said to go with IDQ's if SQ matters. If not, Memphis M-class subs are great for SQ as well, and they are gorgeous.

the m-class are nice they just cant handle power well and they dont like low frequency tuning. more of a impact sub. the c3s are supposed to be a step above them and normally cost about the same. plus they handle more power 600 vs 300 and like low frequency tuning

So no IDmax? money is not really an issue. i just want the best sounding clean bass i can get. The guy at my audio store told me to look at Memphis and Image Dynamics and ive heard alot of good stuff about the IDmax. But now hes saying to go with Memphis.

As I said in the ID thread, I have not heard that ID is closing its doors, just that the founder (Eric) has been pushed out by a financial partner. If you are interested in one of their products but are concerned about this situation, maybe try giving ID a call and see what they have to say. Id be curious to hear as well.

Mojo was rebuilt by SPLAudio and handles 2500rms now instead of the 1000rms it was rated at and box was built by pro-rabbit, I think he tuned it to 33hz

ID is nothing less than a top notch stand up company. Highly doubt it. On top of that their products are great. Id go with IDMax or Q and most likely even their plain jane ID lineup before Id ever touch a Memphis sub. They sound great, they are very efficient, they take more power than rated if done properly, etc.

Do you have any evidence, or info, that says ID is closing its doors? Honesty is not the issue here.

No I do not all I was trying to say is to think that a company in trouble is going to inform you of this while you are inquiring about buying a product is just not gonna happen. Unless it’s a furniture store.

my friend has an IDq and i love the way it sounds, but i have never heard a memphis. from the stuff ive read, it sounds like its more spl than sq. and id much rather have good sq than spl.

I am running a pair of M class 12s at 1 ohm in an enclosure under my truck in a cut through enclosure. It is retarded loud. With the exception of the review mirror falling off once it sounds crisp, clear, and solid.
