Image Dynamics ID8 v.3 vs Elemental Designs 9kv.2 ?

Has anyone used both of these 8" subs? They seem to be very similar from what I've read. How do they compare SQ wise and power wise? The ID8 response curve looks higher in the lower end, I assume it can dish out lows a bit better but how loud I wonder. They will need to do some midbass too. This will likely be a free air install of 2 subs.

The signature of the two subs is very different. I would test both in car before you make a final install.....

I tend to like the 9kv.3 better....
