I agree, ppl will always run what they want. I've had this discussion on this forum numerous times. I've come to realize that most of the ppl who say "JL is overpriced" are simply newbs who know nothing outside of what they heard online. So they regurgitate it so the cool kids online don't bash them....that bothers me a little but u get over it. Other ppl who hate JL don't understand the brand is all about reliability and SQ over SPL and ridiculous power handling. But obviously, ppl don't care about those types of things when Audiopipe is huge right now for making noise for cheap.
I've given up even expecting ppl to respect JL. But I have no doubt in my mind that I could win some comps with JL equipment set up right, so it's far from garbage as some would say. Overpriced? Depends on your pocket....I like the online prices of JL personally and I'd rather spend more on it than the BS recommendations ppl spout off online as a SQ sub simply because it doesnt sound like total crap....

The only cheaper sub I think compares to the w6 sq wise is the Dayton HO. The w6 trumps it as far as output though and I think it looks more smexy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I think the term you are looking for is "parrot." Good at repeating stuff but has no idea what they are repeating.

JL makes decent stuff. I do think it is overpriced for what it is but that's just my opinion. They do spend a lot of money on R&D and patents, which helps justify the high costs, but if you are paying full retail, I think you can do better from a costs standpoint. I had a couple W3s in the late 90's and I wasn't all that impressed honestly. I would prefer to run two Skar VVX or two Sundown SAs over one W6 (all three would cost $400 retail). You can buy a Havoc for the same price as a W6 and I think most would be happier with a Havoc than a W6. Anyways, just my opinions, not that it means much but thought I would add to the convo.
