I'm ready to buy subs, help me decide.

I'm still on my quest for 2 12's that really hit. I'm putting all my cards on either the Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 or the Resonant Engineering XXX.

I see that the Magnums won sub of the year in this forum but see more talk about the XXX around here.

Can't really get an earfull since they aren't sold at the local dealers. I'll have plenty of power to push these guys and a specially designed box made when the subs arrive.

But which one's gonna hit me harder? And which one's gonna make those JL Audio fanboys cringe? The Magnums or the XXX.

Also for the RE's ... I see a whole line of different subs: RE, SE, HC, XXX. The XXX must be the top performers out of this group.

So hopefully I get some good feedback on this one ... I'm ready to buy.

XXX's, If you got the watts give em. I would say nothing less than 1.3kw, otherwise go with the D2. Hit harder? Both are quite the capable spl sub. The XXX seems to be a little louder but a little, little less sq. Whereas the D2 has less spl, not by much, and more sq. It is a give and take. XXX sounds amazing for me though, I loved mine. Hit every note I threw at it. Same with the D2.

Although, I have yet to hear a TRUE RMS rating for the D2. I have heard 1.5kw before. I think the coil is 2" diameter? But the Bl is 18 which could either mean more flux, or more wire. Who knows.. only Nick, probably Dustin too.

I was looking at the AudioBahn speakers you suggested. They look good but then I caught the list price:

$599.99 for the 15 Immortal but is selling for $164.99

$399.00 for the 12 Immortal but is selling for $139.99

Something's not right about a cut in price that large. What's wrong with them?

they are decent subs i guess, its all in the enclosure really.

just stay with your original 2 choices, im sure you wont be dissapointed.
