IM Programs

Hey I was wondering, i've seen screenshots of people on here that have IM programs that combine msn, aim, yahoo, etc. and I was wondering what program or programs this is? Or is it just for apple (screenshot i saw was on an apple)?

ICP? --> ICQ?

I use trillian regularly - the interface is streamlined, the resource usage is low, you can keep track of everyone on one program, and it's skinnable and supported.

If all you use is one program, then it's not worth it, I'm personally signed up on Y!, MSN, AIM, and ICQ - and use them all to some degree - and find it a good thing to have.

It's free and has no adware/spyware - I liked it enough I bought pro just because I found it useful.

i used to use trillian alot. AIM+MSN+IRC+ALOT OF SKINS = A++++

i highly recommend if ur gonna use more than one IM program.

the one you saw was called Adium. That particular one is just for Mac. There is one called trillion for PC, but in my mind it is far inferior than the one for Mac.

or (search) you (search) can (search) do (search) a (search) google (search) and (search) come (search) up (search) with (search) a (search) program (search) called (search) gaim (search)....

However, I think Trillian is a little nicer than Gaim, the only problem with all of them is that they have connection issues once in a while...

Much better than loading all the programs though..

I have no idea what i'd search for that's why i just asked on here, so don't give me this search crap, lol. And ya, i'm definitely likin trillian, works great.

Just busting your balls, I am always on the lookout for a new front end for the IM, choose the one that is most reliable as far as the connections to the actual im servers, a front end can be pretty, but if it doesn't reliably connect, it is useless...

been using trillian since the origonal version, glad to see they took all the old features from Pro and put them in Basic.

I use to use Trillian, but stopped after trying out other third party software. Trillian just uses too many resources and is too unreliable once you see what else is offered. If you're running Windows, check out GAIM, Miranda, or IMICI.

I use Kopete, which is specific to Linux.

Personally, I hate trillian and all the billion-in-1 programs. They hardly let you change options - and I've hacked my MSN and AIM enough to the fact that I can do what I want with them. Much better choice in my opinion.
