This forum seems pretty cool. Just wanted to introduce myself and show you what I'm planning for my install. Some might know me from ECA. or DIYMA.

First off my name is Robert. Or Rob. I drive a 2005 Toyota Tacoma XRunner. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Here it is

The install should be pretty nice... Here's what it's going to look like. I already have the Headunit, Tweeters, PPI 2075AM amp, Arc Audio Flatline and the doors completely deadened/foamed with Raammat and Ensolite foam. Just waiting on the amps, and the mids and the "Midbass" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My old sytem was an Eclipse CD8053, a pair of Phaze Audio MW64's and MB Quart QTC25 tweeters actively controlled by the 8053 and powered by a Xetec 4G600MK2.

It was alright, but I think this new system is gonan be a little nicer, what do you think? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Welcome Rob, nice to see you here. Seen your posts on DIYMA, ECA, and CT (none of which I post on regularly though lol). Very nice system you got there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif How do you plan on installing your amps/sub?

Just wondering, is the DRZ sufficient as a stand-alone unit or do you think you need an external processor?

glad to see you made it over here, Robert.

I guess you did away with the 10w6v2, eh? Too bad.. but I'm sure this will sound excellent too. I can't wait to hear it in person sometime //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks man. The subs and amps are going to be mounted in a custom Marv built enclosure. .9 cu ft sealed. The sub will be centered with one amp on each side(if there's room) Might have to do something else though, I'm going to be taking a trip up north to have it built.

I didn't really use any eq on the 8053, probably won't have to use much here either. I plan on doing undedash panels and acoustical treatments done in other parts of the interior. And of course a Dash Mat.

Doing those things should help out with lessening the need for EQ.

The headunit has 4 way crossovers and will control everything from there. And it has left/right 5 band parametric EQ's. They key is to install it so well that you don't need much tuning(That's the idea anyways LOL )

I am going to have some help tuning though, got a friend with an RTA readily available //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

That is one hell of a set up you shall have... Is your father a jewel theif?
lol

I buy stuff peice by piece, then sell, then buy other stuff. Eventually, I end up with some pretty good stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Sounds awesome. Which part of SoCal do you live in? Would love to hear/see your truck when you get done, maybe bum some RTA help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif. XRunners look so sweet, nothing like my 2k taco lol.
