OK, I am new to this and I did do a little research first so I’m not one of those people that just ask the same question every other post because they were too lazy to look for the answer in front of them (Although that does happen to everyone once and a while).

So to start with, I have a ford ranger that I put a Jensen 9213 head unit into and that is the only thing i did.

(first problem) When I am using the external A/V input to my cell phone to listen to Pandora I get the infamous RPM whine. I only get this whine when the cell phone is plugged into the charger. If it is running off batteries I don’t get the whine. Also, if I am using my cell phone to just listen to the music stored on it I don’t get the whine, even if it is plugged in.

(second problem, but may not be able to be fixed) while listening to Pandora I get this clicking sound through the speakers that sounds like its coming with the “highs” but may not be, it might just be louder parts of the song. This happens both plugged in and on batteries.

ALSO: Are either of these problems bad for anything. Like will they bust my speakers or head unit? I do want to solve them if I can because if you’ve had them, you know they are annoying.
