I'm lost?!?!?

I've tried going through old threads, new threads, tutorials and everything. I still can't seem to figure out how to design a box. I tried winisd, subwoofertools.com, but I'm just too scared to actually do anything with the fear it'll be wasted time, money and effort. I have two Pioneer TS-W256DVC's to be powered by a Profile AP1000.

My trunk space is about 30wide 13high and 18 to 20 deep.

The specs of the woofers are as follows:

I'm at a loss right now. You don't have to design the box for me, but at least help me figure out how to design it myself. I have all this MDF and don't even know how to put it to use yet.

I forgot to mention i'm looking for a ported design from around 28-32Hz. I don't really know whats better.

See if there is a box in this post that will accomodate your size restrictions. You may have to do some math to get them to work but the hard part has been done. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137804

Sorry but I forgot to mention I run two Pioneer subs currently and the way they spec the "ported" box is about 50hz which really is not idea. Something closer to 30hz would be much better for daily use and not so "boomy".

thanks for the reply. I've looked at the specs by moe lester but i don't understand how to adjust the dimensions for my woofer displacement and whether or not it's for 2 10"s or what. I think i figured that its displayed by (ft^3@Hz) though. I also tried the subwoofertools.com but i'm not sure where i would put the woofers on the box that is designed. I'm just assuming its on the same side as the port but not sure if the actual displacement from the port matters or not (or the displacement of one of the speakers from the other.)

It looks to me like you have it dialed in on your Subwoofer plans. I say try it! It will be FAR better than what Pioneer recommends that is for sure.
