What tooth saw blade do you typically use? Currently I have a 25, but I am curious if I upgraded to a 40 or 90 tooth blade, how much smoother are the cuts? They are insanely expensive, but I wanted your take. The 25 does okay when I go slow, I just wanted to know if there was any better. I have issues with chipping sometime.

Also, I was thinking of using a piece of adhesive sandpaper (or something like this) to rough up the edge of the cut so it glues better. Any thoughts?

Never had a problem with glueing endgrain pieces of mdf together . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I don't have a problem, but I was thinking the bond would be better if you roughed the edges up a little bit. I am one of those types always trying to improve, even if the improvements are minor.

No problems with that my brother . Sandaper on the blade wouldn't last two seconds through a cut . If you want to rough it up more , just hit it witha couple swipes with some 40 grit and call it a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

60 tooth is what I use.

For the sandpaper thing. If your using a wood glue (elmers, titebond etc.) then it will "chemically" bond the pieces so it isnt a surface bond. T herefore, I dont think by sanding it you will get a better result. Just takes more time and risk messing up the squareness of your cuts, depening on how much you sand them of course.

A 40 tooth on circ saws is good and pretty much anything above 60 on the table will do you fine.. Freaud makes nice stuff but it is pricey.. Im a carpenter and use both saws on a daily basis and shockingly one of the best blades and also one of the cheapest is a Black & Decker Pirahna.. Real stong and has a narrower carbide blade.. Check them out if you get a chance
