i had a rhinoplasty once.

i was robbed at gun point, almost shot but i think the gun jammed and the guy decided to pistol whip me.. completely destroyed my face

rhinoplastys HURT man. while my nose was broke, i couldnt breathe right but it honestly didn't hurt.

after the surgery

they originally gave me vicoden, but i got upped to percs.

doesn't really do anything to be honest. shi* still hurts.

when they put me under, my mom was actually a head nurse (mercy in pittsburgh) and was walking with me as they rolled me down the aisle, and honestly after the injection i dont remember anything except apparently they asked me if my mom "was starting to look good" and i apparently laughed and said yeahhhhh

all in all, laceration to the top of my head which required like 4-8 stitches..

fractured forehead which a piece of the bone went into my brain tearing the lining (derma) of my brain causing nemosephallis (air on the brain)

fractured both orbitals around both of my eyes

broken nose which required rhinoplasty

my forehead is still in my brain.

it was actually a setup, one of my old friends turned into a huge heroin/coke head and was robbing all of his friends in robbery-setups, and i was dumb enough to think a friend wouldn't do such a thing.

5 days in the hospital..

i think the living GOD that i still walk this earth. i had an angel that night man, and i aint afraid to say it.

My wife had some serious breathing issues so she had nose surgery. She took advantage of insurance covering it so she got it "fixed".

All I can say is to have plenty of stuff to do when you get home. You won't be able to do jack for a week. You're going to be bored as hell. Also, you'll probably hurting pretty bad. I like to think I have a high pain tolerance (broken several bones and had 3 surgeries), but I just can't imagine having nose surgery. Even getting popped in the nose horsing around with friends, hurts like hell.

Good luck to you. Like I said, try to have some things in the house to do (video games, movies, friends come over, etc).

ive broken my nose many times. it has a pretty good sized bump at the top now. had it for years.

all the years of soccer and karate.
