Im a chunky cat, for sure.

Id like to drop some weight, and lift some weight at the same time. I have a gym membership, but have a ton of basic weights at my house. My gym is a shot away, and would rather do most of the workout with the weights here. What do you all suggest as a basic weight routine? Also... Food. I have a food problem. Whats an "above average" guys daily intake for food, and what can I do to drop some good weight? Im like... 6'..... 270. 38 waist. meh.

i lost 25 lbs last year and gained 10 of it back

all i did was cut back on junk food, didnt really stop eating it but only ate out on saturday or maybe one more day a week

walked about 3-4 miles on a treadmill every other day

took about 4 months to lose 25 lbs this way but it was better than starving myself

depending on how much you wanna lose you might wanna cut out junk food all toghter

also its about what you choose when you eat

ive been ordering baked chicken with a salad alot more often than a double burger with fries or a medium pizza.

Cut the crap food out and walk/run some and you will be golden

Well first off...go to your health club. Too many distractions at home.

Eat small meals, every 2-3 hours. Work out for no more than 1 hour in the beginning (I would say go with 30 minutes of cardio with only mid heart rate (try to stay around 130-140bpm)).

Seperate each workout into a group of muscles and work out 3 days a week.

The key to this is to not become too stiff and sore that you don't or physically can't go back. Also, don't go in full speed or you will get hurt.

Food wise, use common sense. If you are eating every few hours..just eat mid sized meals (you should not be still hungry but you should also not feel tired).

Plenty of supplements out there too to help you get motivated. Look at energy pills or energy drinks (I would recommond pills over drinks due to sugar) as something for gym days only.

STOP PUTTING HOLES IN MY BOXES FUCKER!!!!!

How is your endurance? Running is probably one of the best ways to drop weight imo. If your not a long distance runner, start off by doing 30 second sprints and walking 60 seconds and repeat until you do this like 10-15 times. Then eventually you'll be ready for 60 second sprints & 120 second walks.. I'd do this like 3-4 times a week to leave yourself a couple days rest and a day to run long distance like 1-2 miles. Also, eating healthy will help a lot too. Stay away from fast food and soft drinks as much as possible. Water is your friend. It's really just common sense.. but easier said then done. If it were possible, I'd be glad to take some of that weight off of you, I'm 5'10 146lbs.

Eat small meals ever 3 hours or so as stated. One main thing that hasn't been mentioned, ONLY DRINK WATER! Those 2-3 colas every day add up quick. As for exercise. I'd start out walking about 2 miles everyday. Then move on up to FAST walk. And then start jogging.

Some foods I recommend are lean beef, chicken, pork, tuna, turkey, fish, rice, skim milk, low fat yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, whole wheat breads, fruit, oatmeal, grits, egg whites and some other things I am sure I am forgetting.

if you drink soda cutting that out will probably net you about 10lbs right off the start. Or you could be like me and hit a tree while on a dirt bike and get your jaw wired shut, last 35 lbs in the first 3 weeks. Pure liquid diet will drop some unnecessary weight, but gets old very quickly.

I'm in the exact same boat.

CA.com fit club FTW!!!

Keep the thread alive, post what you ate, and what

you did to work out every day. I'd do the same, if you want.

More people the better for support.
