Wut would be better with STock alternator with around 1000rms

wut do u thing i should do, 1 yellowtop for my whole car, or stock battery for car and yellowtop for audio system in trunk with Isolator? and ive read that isolator loses around .7volts, is this a big deal?

its on stock alternator, i have an Lanzar Opti1400D(800rms) and a Polk Momo C400.4 bridged(400rms), wanna use full potential of both... !

thank you

If the yellowtop and isolator are a realistic option, it would probably be the better one.
wut do u mean by realistic?

edit*** im kinda worried to have 2batteries on a stock alternator, i think that itll be to much stress on the alternator, am I right or wrong>?

well isnt that the point of the isolator to keep the batteries separated?

one bat and alt is exactly the same as two bats a isolator and alt . wouldnt be any more strain on the system .

**edit**

provided your alt can keep up with your current electrical needs you will be just fine.

alright so the .7volt loss ive read somewhere will i lose output because of this?

thx

Diode Based Isolator:

This type of isolator is basically two very high current diodes in a heat sink. The diode based isolator has the advantage of long life and trouble free operation but many of the diode based isolators cause a .4 to .6 volt loss which means that the batteries will not charge to as high a voltage as when they are connected directly to the alternator. The diagram below shows the connection for the diode based isolator. Some diode type isolators have a fourth terminal which controls the current flow through the device.

So, two batteries is more stress on a alternator or the load is too big for the alternator. The primary fuction of the battery is to store power to allow you to start the vehicle. The primary function of a second battery is to provide longer play time while the ignition is off. The primary function of the alternator is to provide power to operate the vehicle while it is in motion. If your demand outweighs the supply, how is a second battery going to help you. If the alternator cannot provide power to the system, how can it be expected to charge two batteries and then also power the system. One good battery, the Big 3 or 4 if necessary and then look at a HO alternator.

1000w, 13.8v = 72.4 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Now your music would only create the 1000w on transients and bass hits, and your alternator would only produce it's max (whatever it is) near redline.

In most cases I'd say you'd be fine on the stock parts.

alright so with 1yellow top for whole car i should be able to use full potential and run the system at idle also with no prob!?edit*with big3

with an isolator, no, i'd be more worried bout having 2 batteries and no isolator though, because soon as you turn the car off, the lesser charged of the 2 batteries will drain the other until they equal out, plus a yellow top isn't something i'd recomend for a daily driver as the main battery, they aren't ment to be used like that, matter fact, you'd be better off adding a normal battery as a second in most instances, because yellow tops require trickle charging for a proper charge.
