The classic mustang group i belong to does this. they scrutinize every detail and message all those who ask questions (when the seller allows) and tell them the faults with the sellers description. They are only hard on them in cases like this where the seller is obviously lying.

I take no issue with someone making an honest mistake in a description. We are human and as such prone to making mistakes. But when the first response from someone asking this seller about the claims of 200dB+ became public knowledge here on our fair forum said seller more than obviously opened himself up for exactly the abuse he received. Honest mistakes are one thing and are easily forgiven/overlooked. Outright lies are a totally different thing...

I bet if I through the headunit hard enough, I could bust the back glass with his system. Maybe drop the sub-in-box off of a building and it could break it.

Just emailed him again about the "Quad" VC config on the sub.

He has removed the ludicrous claims of 200+ decibels being able to be reached with the equipment he is trying to off on some poor, unsuspecting n00bx.

Our goal has been accomplished.

True...
But those types of claims being used as a selling point for various used audio gear, whether it be home or mobile equipment, has been so commonplace for such a long time I would wager that your average consumer skips over such silliness out of hand.
