Ok so I just picked up this '96 Civic DX. Its a nice car but its lacking in the sound department. The guy has an older Pioneer head unit, some Roadmaster(is that worse than flee market stuff?) 5.25s in the front doors and he had Pioneer 6.5 Revs in the rear 6x9s holes. I changed the 6.5 Revs out for some 6x9 3-way Pioneers I had laying around. Now for bump he has an older Memphis 1000watt amp on some flee market Adrenaline Bandpass 12s. Now I'm coming from owning a 18" SX on a Orion XTR1000 so I'm wanting some bump.
Here is what I've come up with.
HU: Jensen VM9410(I had one and never had a problem)
Door: Focal Polyglass 130V1 5.25 Component Set
Rear Deck: Focal Polyglass 690CV1 6x9s
Speaker Amp: Phoenix Gold ZX450
Sub(s): RE Audio 15" SE in a boxed tuned to 32Hz
Sub Amp: Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:1 500x1@2ohm
Electrical: I've got a Optima Yellow Top in the car already w/ some 4-Gauge ran to the back(he had 10 gauge for power wire) and a stock alternator.
I figure this would be a great start to getting me back in the game. I want more of a SQL setup than anything. The loud bass that I had in my last setup has given some hearing problems and I'm just wanting a loud clear system now.
