Okay, so I've read everything on bcae1.com about a million times, and I'm still stumped. I've already bought a head unit (Pioneer Premier DEH-P510UB) but now I have no idea what I need to put in next. I would like to update all my factory speakers, while still using my old factory locations. (With the exception of putting a subwoofer in the trunk in the future) In the front I have two factory mounts for tweeters, as well as a 6 1/2 in. opening in both door panels (my car is a two door coupe) I also have two 6 x 9 openings in the rear deck (which, from what I can gather, I want to mount two co-axels in...?). My questions is this, what the heck do I need to get next? I'm looking to drop about $600-$700 in all for the speakers and a 4 channel amp. My biggest concern is quality sound, I'll get subs later to get that kick I love. I've already been in to the only real car audio store in my area, and the guy there couldn't help me at all, as he doesn't really speak English (correction, I don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about, and his English isn't good enough to cover my failings.) So what I'm going to do is get all the stuff I need, then have this guy install it. Which brings me back to where I am now... anyone want to help me spend my money and tell me what I need to buy still? I think I need two 6 1/2in 2-way components, two 6x9 2-5way co-axels and a good 4 channel amp...? As for amps and ohms and watts and volts... I've no freaking clue. Just whatever will have the best sound quality, and still give a little kick...?

well most people on here will say if your goal is sound quality then you dont need rear fill (meaning no 6x9's) only your comp set up front. IMHO if you dont plan to compete and just want decent SQ and a low powered subwoofer you could get it all for around a grand. buy a set of comps off here, a nice 2 channel, small amp for your sub, and your subwoofer. you can get your wires off here or ebay its all the same. so if i was you id take a second to decide what type of music you really listen to most of the time and go from there.

from what you posted id guess rock soft or hard...so id suggest a nice set of comps that actually have decent midbass and running them passive using there crossover they come with. then id prolly run a single 10" ported or two low powered 10's sealed. thats just my opinion. its all up to you.
