I'm addicted... (TC or SI?)

so the reason people hate tc is the cone? i tried asking about this in another thread but apparently i used words to big for people to comprehend as the discussion turned to cereal

talking about the drivers you mentioned is unneccesary?
well then i shall exit the thread
Well you just mentioned a similar thread you made being derailed, so I thought to maybe try to avoid that with this one. If that's ok.

Anyone have words about the TC-5200? Any reason I should strike it from the list?

did and my comment still stands
In that case, I can't help your reading comprehension, so I'll just drop it.

It was bound to happen.Fanboi's run the forum
I'm surprised this thread doesn't have 50 replies telling him to get a BTL. God help the man who ever posts something remotely negative about Fi, he'll be harassed online then he and his entire family will hunted down and killed.

I won't lie, their forum is pissing me off too. I want to post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
I do appreciate your input lilmaniac, even if it is a bit biased. You sound like you definitely know your shit. That info about titanium cones is useful, if not a vital factor to my decision.

Yes, i am a bit biased, based on my own experience with both companies. If I ever can find a TC driver to test I would love to, even tho the only driver I've tested that was a TC produced driver was very disappointing.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it.

The anti-TC crowd likes to make it sound like it happens on every sub every time....when in reality it will rarily occur especially when used in a daily driving setup.

Though my vote still stands at try a new enclosure w/ your current sub first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you are dead set on a new sub.....then it's a tough call. The TC LMS-5400 would have a displacement advantage, but some people don't prefer the sound of linear BL motors. So you very well may prefer the sound of the SI Mag.

TC hater, hmmm thanks i guess,
You havent seen anything posted about the titanium failing because it hasnt been on the market that long... Metal fatigues, no matter what alloy it is. It will fatigue if you continue to bend it back and forth. I personally have seen a titanium cone break.
your right! the ti and ti pro havent been around for years at all! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif btw- what sub was it that you saw the titanium cone break on?

One strand in 2 weeks... how many strands after a year?
You and t-money are getting butt hurt like you invented this sub youself and I'm insulting it. I never said it was a bad driver, I said I wouldn't want to see that kind of wear after 2 weeks on a speaker I paid $450 for. Maybe his is the only one to do that, who knows? I just know, as a consumer, I wouldn't want such an expensive piece of audio equipment to show that kind of wear so quickly. Especially since my Assassins looked better than that after a year and my db-500s still look brand new after a few months.

Way to show a lack of maturity in your reply, though.

Buffalohed - sorry your thread hasn't gotten off topic. I think you will be happy with any of the options you presented. If it were my money, I'd go with the 5200 since it is the cheapest of the 3 options and will require the least amount of space.
wow, you're such an idiot. I had one of my Mags since 2005 with no signs of wear. You were also in another thread stating that, wow, that kind of wear after two weeks for a $450.00 dollar sub. Look at how much the tc drivers cost that were having troubles. I am not saying the SI is better that TC, just saying you're an idiot with entry level subs that don't know shyt.Oh and again i forgot to mention you're an idiot. Mention something to help the original poster. Go dig up all the SI subs with wearing tinsel leads or bad cones or any other defects and please posts them, i'll let you go back to the posts from 2005 if you want. STFU and GTFO, you're no help the the original poster, ***

edit: I'm going to assume when you called me a Canadian it was a compliment considering where you're from. Fortunaltely i'm not as patriotic as you may be so making fun of where i came from is not a insult,***
