He all, new to the forums here, I initially joined to get info on an old Punch amp i bought, but im finding some great info on here...Im trying to build me a nice audio setup for my 03 Durango, and with previous audio setups i have done, I have never been satisfied with their sound, so I am hoping to find some information on here, search around, pick some brains, and see what I am doing wrong. Bare with me, I know the basics, but thats it.

Anyone know anything about old Rockford Fosgate amps? Bought a Punch 75 off someone for $10.00, don't know much about what i can do with it though, i have a post with pictures in the amps section. Someone please check it out so i know if i should sell it, use it, or trade it for something else.

actually depends on what punch 75,if its the older model you can use it for woofers,but still depends,there was 3 different models over the years i think.the original punch 75 square amp,the ix oval shaped amp , and the 25 to life amp

Its old, and square, looks like its from the 80's, has treble and bass knobs on it.

Ya.. you can sell it... to me..Lol.Sounds like thats the legend of the Punch series that surprised /took the market late 80s.If its one I m thinking about,it is a good amp,and pretty much put RF on the board,..A punch 30 back then did not have an issue pushing a pair of 200 rms svc 10s..Welcome by the way.I had a 100 on 4 Still Water Kicker SVC10s in a single cab 87 toyota.I would utilize it in your set up/or sell it for what you can,and buy the things needed.The 45 could push a pair of 300 rms 12s,that 75, ive seen push 4-12s all original RF punch amps.I had the 75,on 4-jbl 6x9 3ways firing up at the indiv in seats, the 45 on a pair of 5.25 jbl,and the tear drop style mids/highs,and the 30 on 4 jbl titanium tweets,with the sony xec-1000 x-over,with a sony hu.Sounded pretty good...back then lol!!1989

I started with 300 watts, Kicker comps, in prefabs... Now Im running 3 batts, 4000 watts, custom built subs and boxes, and active front stage lol

Yeah I started with just a sony explode set up about 6 years ago. Since then I have had all sorts of things, from entry level subs to high end mainstream subs and the best of the underground custom subs.

Currently sitting on quite a bit of gear and the set up in my car changes often. Gosh I'm doing a little over 3krms right now in my grand prix coupe. sounds pretty nice. And a little over a year ago I said i didn't need more power than the 300 watt Alpine type S I had in my Ford Focus then... everyone says it, the car audio fanatics never settle down!
