i read more about the orion 1200d but im wondering if thats enuff power to be powering 2 subs rated at 1500 watts.

If the subs you are looking at are 2ohm/coil, then the Orion (or DEI or Viper) would not be your best bet since they make their max power at 1ohm, which you can not wire two 2ohm DVC subs down to. You need to look for an amp that makes the power you want into a 2ohm load.

Look for an amp in the 1000-1500w @ 2ohm range. Such as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18797&item=5748201525&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW - These amps are underrated, will give you around 1200w RMS @ 2ohm.

you could get an MTX 1501D. they make 1500w rms @2ohms. check ebay, their like 300 or so.

i just built a box and everthing for setup i have right now, havnt heard it yet still have to install it. but anyways im already thinkin about ditchin it and getting some l7's...

anyways, what would 1 12" l7 ported be compared to 4 10" mtx 8000's ported, using a directed 1500d amp? or how much louder would 2 12" l7's be compared to 4 10's?

2 L7's and 4 tens...be close in my opinion cause my friend has 4 RE RE's 8inch and they are very loud. But my 2 L7's still compete with his. I work with car audio if anyone was wondering why I have all these "friends." But the L7's are very nice and still extremley loud. You probably don't have to space just get 2 more l7's lol! Thats what I'm doin' soon! 4 L7's!!!!!
