ike..bought DEI 250D..they sent me oldschool one

Ok so i got my 250D from ike today, shipping was fast paid monday got it wednesday.

So i open it up and it's an oldschool DEI 250D not the one in the picture and its in pretty **** good shape too, unfortunately it doesn't match my 500/2 amp which is the newer style look (the grey/black look)

I was expecting:

as illustrated on their order page

but i got the 250D that looks like this:

now i'm under the impression that the older ones are better but I want it to match my newer one, so what should i do? take the old school one or go for the matching lol

Id say if you are really wanting to match, send it back. I would say send it back anyway because they messed up. But thats just taking another rick. But I believe they are hoping you just accept it.

Good luck getting ahold of them via email... I've been waiting about 3 weeks for a response so that I can return my midwoofer because it broke.

Answer to the original poster, if its in good shape, id keep it. Cause i have received 2 directed refurbs from them in the last few months. One was doa, but i didnt test it till after the warranty was up, so that was my fault, but doa nonetheless, and the second one i got, all the screw terminals were stripped out. Well i've bought 4 amps now from ike. All of them have been in near perfect cosmetic shape and all have worked... this is just an older model that the one pictured, but it's still in amazing shape so Ike's still in the green in my book... I just want a matching amp so i am going to call.... I am on good terms with the phone lady so i'll let you knnow what she says. They are supposed to give me a call tag # so i can ship it back free if an incorrect product is sent

Ok so I called up right now and talked to Laura (i believe is her name) and I am being sent a calltag so I can send it back to them free, then assuming they get it safe and sound my new amp should be coming back. I'm not in a big hurry so let's see how it all turns out and i'll report on it.

****, if your going on your 4th amp with no problem, honestly its like winning a loterry and if they answer the phone it like winning at bingo, and emails..... lets just say doesnt ahppen except a few times when i got threw...... GL man I bought 2 hifonics amps, both were supposed to be brand new and they were all bashed up, theres a thread her on em, i also noticed they stopped selling them " any clue's?"

well for kicks I took pics of the amp i got. you can see it's in great shape. I've had luck with Ike... She even checked with the guy in the warehouse and he said they do have the grey/black one and are putting one aside. here's the one I got..

yeah i really want to match. It's so pretty though the 'chrome' looking stuff looks great and there's basically no damage whatsoever

I'm pretty anal on cosmetics also. Can't have mismatching equipment in view. So I would send it back.

the ol school 1s are badass, but i dont understand y u guys continue to deal wit ikesound, when everyday its a post where someone is upset wit them or they gettin screw'd. i mean u guys should learn from others mistakes. but i would prefer the ol school directed over the newer 1s anyday
