Will it be worth while to add in a amp for four 6*9s when i install them im planning on adding some real bass but dont have the cash and want to upgrade hu and 6*9's first. so will it be worth the money to add a small amp for the 6*9's? Also any suggestions on 6*9's would be helpfull im thinking of buying some xplod's i can buy them here at a local shop but any suggestions would be appreciated

What kind of car are you putting the 6x9's in? I would amp them with a 4channel, and I would also stay away from sony xplod. If your tight with cash, I would look for the ks series 6x9's, infinity refernece series 6x9's, or maybe even some pioneers. Running any of those off a 4ch will make a HUGE difference.

Why are you going with four 6x9s? Are all of your stock locations for ByNines?

At any rate - Sony Xpolds aren't in the upper echelon of quality aftermarket audio gear. There's good reason why it sells at Wal-Mart.

On a budget the suggestions from the previous poster are pretty solid (the KS-series speakers he spoke of are Kicker products I believe in case you didn't know)

Pioneer's Rev-series drivers (whether regular Pioneer or their upscale brand Premier) seem to gather high praise from those that use them regularly. Infinity's Reference series seems to bring continual complaints of lacking midbass so take that for what it is worth.

As far as an amp goes a 4-channel unit that outputs the appropriate power levels for the drivers you want to power with it would be your best best (as well as simplifying the install overall)

On a tight budget my goto suggestion is generally Profile. Are they great? no. Are they reliable? In my experience they've proven as reliable as an oak tree. But I do not know what kind of $$$ you're wanting to invest so do not take that as a be all, end all suggestion. Just somewhere to start.

Hope you enjoy your time here!
