Read the article, do some research. Was not just traffic tickets, illegal vehicle searches, Illegal seaches of people attending, no probably cause other than they owned imports and gathered together, profileing. List goes on and on. Even autoblog and other auto magazine sites are throwing the red flag, what they did was illegal.

illegal doesnt=cash. What they did was wrong, but who's gonna spend time litigating for compensatory damages for small tickets? Unless they are charged with felonies there's nothing to worry about...cops are corrupt, we know this, nothing we can do.

wouldnt hold a candle in court, blatant violation of the 4th amendment.

class action lawsuit would be the smart thing to do, would shut this shit down in a second.

Sucks, but I am with Slick Rick on this one. I don't think it will hold up as it is small tickets besides maybe the 20 cars that got confiscated or however you spell that dam word.

well, say your car was registered in somebody else name and not in yours they would not be able to confiscate it. i have ran into that confrontation with the police before. they will just impound the car

Well no knowledge on this but several forums were talking about how people have been winning a LOT latley against police departments that profile and pull crap like this. I can say if I was involved and they searched my car or me without my consent and for no reason other than a meet and greet with friends that was allowed by the local businesses, I would have an itchy legal finger and I am not usually that way. Just HATE bad cops.

it's all bullshit. the funniest part is the question, " why would need all these parts if you're not going to street race?" my response is " why would someone need a ferrari if they'r enot going to street race, why would anyone need a car that would go faster than 70 mph if they're not going to street race?"

of course, people with high end expensive cars can get together and hang out no problem. it's just those of us who can'ta fford ferrari's that get hassled because we choose to build something as fast as a ferrari out of a cheaper car.

no joke, its like the death penalty for their car..

the ownes go and watch it.. its horrible.. ill dig up the vid..

they are starting to do it in more, and more places to "teach" the "racers" a "lesson"
